Tory has been practicing her balance by standing, and took her first step last week on her own with no prompting. So far she's tried a few times with some encouragement from Mommy and Daddy and she can take two steps before falling. It 's exciting to see, but she's not interested enough at this point to walk so we're not rushing it.
She is still quite the little monkey climbing on everything. She loves to stand in her high chair....she can get out if we don't buckle her in. She is also learning to swing her legs around to get down from things.
Since cutting another tooth, her appetite is much better. She has been trying lots of new things. Her favorites are pasta and grilled cheese. She pretty much likes everything, but we have to make her taste it first, because she likes to say "no" and clench her mouth shut when you offer her food (unless it's Cheerios)
She's been saying Mommy for a few weeks now ("maa-maa") She can say ball, baby, Disney ("dee-dee" ) and bubbles ("bub-bus") She surprised us with that one. She pointed at her bubbles and clearly said it. We almost didn't believe it until she kept saying it. Now if only she would say "Daddy". She knows how to make the sounds -they were the first ones she learned. No matter how many times we try to get her to say it she won't. It almost seems like a game.
